We should sigh and lament (Saint John Chrysostom)

If the soul is superior to the body, as, of course, it is, it’s more fitting to sigh and lament over it if it’s lost. Again, if it’s unaware [of its state], that’s another reason to sigh and lament. Because we should be more saddened by those who seek promiscuous sexual relations than by those who are suffering from a fever.
