Ilia II: Going abroad and taking care of old people is not bad, but it is better to look after your land and homeland

I would like to remind you when you do something, when you work, when your wish comes true, do not forget to give thanks, because in the future you will have more to ask, you will have to go back and thank the Lord, – the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, said in his Sunday sermon at Trinity Cathedral.

Ilia II spoke about strengthening the villages and asked the clergy serving in villages to be an example of contributing to rural development.

As Patriarch notes going abroad and taking care of old people is not bad, but says that it is better to “to look after your land and homeland.”
