The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, this week emphasized that the Church’s doors cannot close, but must remain open to all those in need.
At the same time, His Holiness and Beatitude said it was imperative for all restrictions and health precautions to be strictly followed, in commenting on the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Georgian Church has recommended that the faithful remain outside cathedrals during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and other services, whereas services can be held outdoors when dealing with smaller chapels.
