Dmitry Medvedev visited Orthodox Holy Monastery of St George.

The Russian President spoke with Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodoros II.
Accompanied by the Patriarch, Mr Medvedev then toured the Church of St George. The church dates from the 12th-14th centuries and is the main church of the Monastery of St George; the fetters of St George, revered by both Egyptian Christians and Muslims, are preserved here.
Dmitry Medvedev signed the book of honoured guests and thanked his hosts for the opportunity to visit the residence of the Patriarch.
