Η Νεκταρία Καραντζή ταξιδεύει τους βυζαντινούς ήχους στην ΙσπανίαΤα τελευταία χρόνια η φωνή της αποκτά ολοένα και μεγαλύτερη απήχηση στο εξωτερικό, αποτελώντας μία από τις κορυφαίες επιλογές σημαντικών Φεστιβάλ και διοργανώσεων Θρησκευτικης Μουσικής, ανά τον κόσμο.
Η Νεκταρία Καραντζή, με εξαιρετικά επιλεγμένα βήματα και συνεργασίες στην έως τώρα πορεία της, έχει αναγνωριστεί διεθνώς στον χώρο της θρησκευτικης-ιερής μουσικής, ως η «ιδανική γυναίκα υμνωδός του βυζαντινού μέλους και της αρχέγονης παράδοσης». Αποτελεί μοναδική περίπτωση Ελληνίδας ερμηνεύτριας που εξειδικεύεται στο βυζαντινό αλλά και παραδοσιακό μέλος, το οποίο παρουσιάζει μέσω συναυλιών αλλά και μέσω ημερίδων και masterclass σε σημαντικά Πανεπιστήμια και Μουσικές Ακαδημίες, των οποίων έχει υπάρξει προσκεκλημένη, όπως η Ακαδημία Liszt στη Βουδαπέστη, το Πανεπιστήμιο της Σορβόννης και το New York University. Έχοντας μαθητεύσει πλάι στον μεγαλο έλληνα Δάσκαλο Χρόνη Αηδονίδη, διατηρεί και διασώζει στο ρεπερτόριό της τον αυθεντικό τρόπο διδιασκαλίας και απόδοσης της μουσικής της Θράκης, της Μ. Ασίας και της Μακεδονίας που διδάχθηκε από τον ίδιο. Η συνεργασία της με τον διεθνούς φήμη Πιανιστα, Αρχιμουσικό και Συνθέτη Βασίλη Τσαμπρόπουλο που ταξίδεψε σχεδον σε όλη την Ευρώπη τα τελευταια χρόνια, αποτέλεσε κομβικό σημείο στην πορεία της, αποσπώντας θερμή αποδοχή κοινού και κριτικών που μίλησαν για την “πιο εμπνευσμένη προταση συνδεσης Δύσης και Ανατολής”, εκθειάζοντας τη φωνητική της ικανότητα να αποδίδει “με ευαισθησία και εσωτερικότητα τα ιερά κείμενα, αναδεικνύοντας εναν αρχέγονο και μυστικό ήχο που μιλα βαθεια στις ψυχές”. Στις σημαντικές συνεργασίες της περιλαμβάνεται και εκεινη με την κορυφαία και διεθνώς καταξιωμένη τραγουδίστρια της ουγγρικής παραδοσης, Marta Sebestyen αλλά και με την περίφημη ανδρική χορωδία Saint Efraim Male Choir.
Η Νεκταρία Καραντζή στις 12 και 13 Νοεμβρίου θα βρίσκεται στην Ισπανία, για να παρουσίασει ενα σεμινάριο με θέμα τη βυζαντινή εκκλησιαστική μουσικη στο κοινό του Oviedo αλλα και για μία μοναδική συναυλία στον ιστορικό ναό “San Isidoro el Real di Oviedo”, προσκεκλημένη του Φεστιβάλ Θρησκευτικής Μουσικής “Ciclo de Musica Sacra / Maestro de la Roza”.

On 12 & 13 November, in Spain (Oviedo), Nektaria Karantzi has the honor to participate in the “Ciclo de Musica Sacra: Maestro de la Roza” by leading a workshop on the tones of Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music (12/11) and by presenting a concert of ancient ecclesiastical byzantine hymns (13/11), in the historical Church of “San Isidoro el Real di Oviedo”.
Her voice has been identified mainly with the Byzantine sacred artand has been regarded as one of the most important voices in Byzantine Chant. She is the unique Greek performer of Byzantine music with discography in Byzantine music since she was fourteen and with active work of chanting as a chorister in church since she was nine. Her performances in concert halls in Greece and abroad are purely devoted to Byzantine Chant and has been internationally acclaimed as the most ideal performer of Byzantine Melos [chanting] and of the Primeval Tradition.
In her first recordings of chanting she accompanied a contemporary saint, Saint Porphyrios the Kapsokalyvite and with his encouragement she started her studies in Byzantine Music at a very early age. She completed her studies in Byzantine Music, received a Degree and a Diploma from the Byzantine Music School of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus, taught by notable tutors including Mr. Dimitris Verykios. Nektaria Karantzi is also well-known in Greek music stage through her apprenticeship and lengthy collaboration with the greatest teacher of the Greek Traditional Music Mr. Chronis Aidonides. Another important moment of her career is her collaboration with the acclaimed pianist, composer and conductor Mr. Vassilis Tsabropoulos in an artistic combination inspired by byzantine hymns joining West and East.
Other key moments in her career were the invitations from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary and the Sorbonne University in France where she gave a Master Class about Byzantine Music. Nektaria has presented many concerts of Byzantine and Traditional Folk Music in Greece and abroad [in France, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Skopje, Bulgaria, Estonia, Switzerland, Letonia, Luxemburg, Spain, Italy e.c.] while she has collaborated with the greatest traditional singer of Hungary Marta Sebestyen and the distinguished Byzantine choir the St. Ephraim male Choir.
She is the Founder and the Honorary President of the Panhellenic Association of Women in Byzantine ecclesiastical Music while she has been honored for her contribution to Byzantine Music by the Byzantine Chanters [Ieropsaltes] through the Hellenic Musicological Society – Institute for Byzantine and Greek Traditional Music Studies and the music magazine “To Psaltiri”. She is also the artistic director of the Traditional Music School “Chronis Aidonides” and she is the Legal Services Manager and the Public Relations, Press and Communications Director of the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Athens, which is under the aegis of the Arch
Nektaria has studied Law, undertook postgraduates in Penal Law, in Criminal Law and in Ecclesiastical Law and is also a Doctor of Laws (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens). She has worked as an editor at Law Publishers P. Sakoulas, at the magazine “Penal Law Chronicles”, she was an associate of Department of Criminal Law of the Athens University and has associated with the Law Firms of the former President of the Piraeus Bar Assosiation and the President of Lawyers Fund Mr.Vassilis Venetis and Mr. Platon Niadis.
