Category 4 crisis level in northern Greece prefecture due to coronavirus pandemic

A category 4 crisis level was declared this week for the northern prefecture of Kozani over the next 14 days, due to a significant spike in the number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the area.

Based on a previous decision by the permanent Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, restrictions to be implemented where a category 4 crisis level exists include a maximum of nine worshippers per church at any given time, while worshippers also encouraged to wear masks.
