Περίληψη∗ Οι θρησκευτικές πεποιθήσεις σχετικά με το τέλος του κόσμου, την τελική κρίση των ανθρώπων, τη δικαίωση των δικαίων, την τιμωρία των αμαρτωλών από το Μεσσία και τη βασιλεία Του επί χίλια χρόνια αποτελούν το περιεχόμενο της αίρεσης του Χιλιασμού. Η αίρεση αυτή βασίστηκε στο βιβλίο της Αποκάλυψης και κυρίως στο κεφάλαιο 20 και στους στίχους 1-10. Στην παρούσα μλέτη γίνεται προσπάθεια να παρουσιαστεί πώς προέκυψε η διδασκαλία για τη χιλιετή βασιλεία του Χριστού και τι επιπτώσεις είχε στις χριστιανικές κοινότητες των διαφόρων εποχών. Αναφερόμαστε ποιοι πατέρες ερμήνευσαν ορθόδοξα το κείμενο αυτό της Αποκάλυψης και πώς ερμηνεύτηκε το εν λόγω χωρίο λανθασμένα από κάποιους εκκλησιαστικούς συγγραφείς δημιουργώντας αιρέσεις. Any donation of body tissue or an organ is a kind of self-sacrifice. Despite this, it would be untheological to consider such an action to be in imitation of the sacrifice of Christ. Christ offers His Body and Blood to give people, not some transitory existence, but real life, which might, in fact, involve the sacrifice of this temporary existence.
